হাতল নাহিকো, দাও একখানি ডাল।
ডাল নিয়ে হাতল প্রস্তুত হল যেই,
তার পরে ভিক্ষুকের চাওয়া-চিন্তা নেই--
একেবারে গোড়া ঘেঁষে লাগাইল কোপ,
শাল বেচারার হল আদি অন্ত লোপ।
