অস্তাচলের পরপারে (ostacholer poropare)

সন্ধ্যাসূর্যের প্রতি

 

আমার এ গান তুমি যাও সাথে করে

নূতন সাগরতীরে দিবসের পানে।

সায়াহ্নের কূল হতে যদি ঘুমঘোরে

এ গান উষার কূলে পশে কারো কানে,

সারা রাত্রি নিশীথের সাগর বাহিয়া

স্বপনের পরপারে যদি ভেসে যায়,

প্রভাত-পাখিরা যবি উঠিবে গাহিয়া

আমার এ গান তারা যদি খুঁজে পায়।

গোধূলির তীরে বসে কেঁদেছে যে জন,

ফেলেছে আকাশে চেয়ে অশ্রুজল কত,

তার অশ্রু পড়িবে কি হইয়া নূতন

নবপ্রভাতের মাঝে শিশিরের মতো।

সায়াহ্নের কুঁড়িগুলি আপনা টুটিয়া

প্রভাতে কি ফুল হয়ে উঠে না ফুটিয়া।
