তোমার         মোহন রূপে

                           কে রয় ভুলে?

                জানি না কি মরণ নাচে

                           নাচে গো ওই চরণ-মূলে?

      শরৎ-আলোর আঁচল টুটে

      কিসের ঝলক নেচে উঠে,

          ঝড় এনেছ এলোচুলে।

                    মোহন রূপে কে রয় ভুলে?

         কাঁপন ধরে বাতাসেতে,

         পাকা ধানের তরাস লাগে

         শিউরে ওঠে ভরা খেতে।

      জানি গো আজ হাহারবে

      তোমার পূজা সারা হবে

          নিখিল-অশ্রুসাগর-কূলে।

                  মোহন রূপে কে রয় ভুলে?

THE WEDDING hour is in the twilight, when the birds have sung their last and the winds are at rest on the waters, when the sunset spreads the carpet in the bridal chamber and the lamp is made ready to burn through the night.
Behind the silent dark walks the Unseen Comer and my heart trembles.
All songs are hushed, for the service will be read under the evening star.

তোমার সঙ্গে আমার মিলন
      বাধল কাছেই এসে।
তাকিয়ে ছিলেম আসন মেলে--
    অনেক দূরের থেকে এলে,
আঙিনাতে বাড়িয়ে চরণ
      ফিরলে কঠিন হেসে--
    তীরের হাওয়ায় তরী উধাও
      পারের নিরুদ্দেশে।
